Amata Group proposes to build an industrial park of 3,800 hectares in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

Chau Duc district (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) promulgated the planning of industrial zones, with the proposal to implement four more industrial zones, with a total area of 5,700 ha.

Accordingly, the Cu Bi hi-tech industrial-urban area is the largest project with a scale of 3,000 hectares. Next is the urban-industrial area in Xa Bang commune with an estimated area of 1,200 ha, the urban-industrial area in Binh Ba commune with an area of 800 ha. In addition, Chau Duc district will also expand Da Bac industrial park phase 2 and 3 with a total area of about 700 hectares.

Currently, Chau Duc has two large-scale industrial parks: Sonadezi Chau Duc industrial zone (2,287 ha) and Da Bac industrial park (1,058 ha). Besides, there are quite a few industrial clusters – handicrafts. Sonadezi Chau Duc is considered one of the large complex industrial parks and has attracted 60 businesses from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India… The project owner expects that in 2022, there will be about 80,000 – 120,000 engineers, experts, and workers working here, with an 80% occupancy rate.

Previously, Amata Group (Thailand) had sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to apply for research to propose an investment project in an industrial – urban – service zone in Cu Bi commune, Chau Duc district. In this document, Amata said that Ba Ria-Vung Tau is a locality with many advantages to attract foreign direct investment. The reason is that the province can expand investment in industrial park development with a favorable area located in the southern critical economic region, only about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, and has seaports and airports. International, national, and inter-regional road traffic are synchronously planned and are gradually being invested and developed.

Therefore, Amata Group asked the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to promote research to propose an investment project in Cu Be commune, Chau Duc district, to form an industrial park – urban – Northwest gateway service of the province. The total area of the proposed study area is about 3,800 ha.

Amata Group believes that this project will welcome the investment wave in Vietnam, meeting the needs of local socio-economic development. The project will also attract investment capital, especially foreign investment capital, and helping to shift the economic structure of Cu Bi commune, Chau Duc district, to move from agriculture to industry service.

Currently, Amata Group has a series of industrial parks and urban areas in Vietnam, such as Amata Bien Hoa with  513 hectares, Amata Long Thanh (Dong Nai) with an area of 410 hectares, Song Khoai in Quang Ninh province with an area of 714 hectares. In addition, Amata Group is also investing in an urban area in Long Thanh with  875 hectares.
