Aurora IP Industrial Park in the step of enhancing Vietnam’s position on the global value chain
Transforming from a traditional industrial park to an eco-industrial park model is an inevitable trend to promote sustainable growth for Vietnam’s textile and garment industry.

Textile is currently one of Vietnam’s spearhead industries, with the second largest export turnover in the country. In 2022, in the context of the global economy facing many difficulties, the industry’s export turnover will still reach 44 billion USD, an increase of 8.8% compared to 2021. However, many experts say that Vietnam’s textile and garment industry. There are still bottlenecks in the fabric production stage, mainly due to the need for more infrastructure to receive the textile and dyeing segment, making the industry structure unsustainable.
Even in Nam Dinh – the cradle of Vietnam’s textile and garment industry, garment production is still mainly in the processing segment, with low added value. According to a Ministry of Planning and Investment report, Nam Dinh’s output of textile products in the first ten months of 2022 has grown by 5-26%, and garment exports have increased by 11.4% over the same period last year. However, most products are for export, and the production stage highly depends on foreign raw materials and other provinces.
Nam Dinh’s textile industry, in particular, and Vietnam, in general, still need to make strong efforts to master the production of input materials and improve its position on the global value chain. In particular, the main urgent requirement is to develop vital enough ecological and sustainable industrial parks for the textile and garment industry.
Grasping this trend, Cat Tuong Group pioneered the development of Aurora IP – the first model of an ecological urban industrial park specialized in textile dyeing in Nam Dinh province. Located in the planning of Ninh Co Economic Zone with 14,000 hectares, Aurora IP owns a strategic location connecting most roads in the Northern critical economic region.
Aurora IP is invested in developing infrastructure synchronously from planning, and design to construction, meeting the strict requirements of the textile dyeing process. Typically, the wastewater treatment system applies the advanced technology with a capacity of 110,000 m3/day. Additionally, on January 6, 2023, the water supply project of the pumping station – CTe AQUA pipeline was officially activated and operated with a total capacity of up to 170,000m3/day and night, ensuring production demand for the whole industry. This is also an essential milestone in building Aurora IP’s infrastructure components, serving Cat Tuong Group’s goal of localizing 1 billion meters of fabric annually.
Towards a sustainable industrial ecosystem, Aurora IP built a 17km system of canals combined with mangroves surrounding the industrial park. At the same time, investors are also encouraged to apply technology to minimize the impact of production on the environment. Aurora IP also actively creates a favorable investment environment, offers attractive incentives and long-term commitments, and ensures a convenient and comfortable living and working environment for professionals and employees attached to the company’s industrial area.
In the past, Aurora IP has received the support of authorities, investors, and local people, becoming an attractive bright spot to attract FDI capital for the high-tech textile industry of Nam Dinh province. Aurora IP has successfully signed large-scale projects with a total investment of more than 300 million USD with many investors from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan…
In 2022, Aurora IP will receive the attention of many of the world’s leading media channels. Bloomberg, Market Insider, and Yahoo Finance… all highly appreciate the development potential of Aurora IP and believe that the industrial park will enhance the position of Vietnam’s textile and garment in the international market.
Aurora IP has been proving the attraction and core value of the industrial park model – urban area – innovative service – ecological intensive textile dyeing. Aurora IP’s orientation is in line with the “Strategy for development of Vietnam’s textile and footwear industry to 2030, with a vision to 2035” (Decision No. 1643/QD-TTg dated December 29, 2022). Accordingly, by 2035, Vietnam’s textile and garment industry will develop effectively and sustainably according to the circular economy model, complete the domestic production value chain, and effectively participate in the global value chain.Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan – Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cat Tuong Group, said: “Proud to be a pioneer investor in the trend of creating green industrial parks, Cat Tuong Group is always steadfast with the mission of laying the foundation sustainable development foundation for Vietnam’s textile and garment industry. In the coming time, Aurora IP will continue to improve the infrastructure, step by step, and remove bottlenecks in textile dyeing, thereby developing a sustainable source of input materials for the textile industry. We will continue to connect with domestic and international green visionary investors to join hands to build a sustainable global textile industry.”
