Bac Giang brings workers from out-of-province workers back to work
By the end of July 2021, Bac Giang province will put more than 30,000 workers back to work, and by the end of the year, it can reach 120,000 people working in industrial parks.

After more than a month off due to the pandemic outbreak, on June 24, Bac Giang province approved for businesses to bring back workers from outside the area. The Department of Labour, War invalids, and Social affairs coordinate these activities. Out-of-province workers returning to Bac Giang to work must actively contact medical facilities to test for Covid-19 by PCR method.
Accordingly, workers who want to return to Bac Giang to work must go through a four-step process. Step one, businesses send documents to the authorities, asking for approval. Step two, after receiving the application, the police must deal with it in one day. After receiving the locality’s consent, the enterprise notifies workers of the shuttle schedule and requires workers to actively test for Covid-19 by PCR method within 72 hours before entering the province. Step four, businesses are responsible for ensuring that drivers pick up workers with negative Covid-19 test results within 72 hours. Upon entering the area, workers must be temporarily isolated at the place of residence for at least three days to collect samples for testing again. When the results are negative, workers are allowed to work at the company.
In nearly a month of restoring operation, four industrial parks like Quang Chau, Van Trung, Dinh Tram, Song Khe – Noi Hoang, Bac Giang have appraised and approved 153 enterprises with nearly 24,000 employees. To date, 86 companies with approximately 16,000 workers have officially returned to work. This number of employee accounts for almost 11.4% of the total number of about 140,000 workers here.
