Da Nang: newly-registered enterprises massively soar
Da Nang City has granted newly-registered certificate to 3,318 enterprises with the charter capital as much as 16,800 billion VND. Department of Planning and Investment of the City issued new enterprise registration certificates to 375 enterprises, branches and representative offices within August 2022 with total registered capital amounted to 1,167 billion VND.

As of August 2022, Da Nang city completely issued new registration certificate for 3,318 enterprises, branches and representative offices with registered charter capital of 16,872 billion VND.
The number, increasing 25.97%, is remarkable regarding newly-registered enterprises in Da Nang, along with 24,99% increase in registered capital against the same period of 2021.
According to Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang City, after bringing Covid-19 pandemic under control, the economy has been bouncing back positively and the number of enterprises returning to operation has also been on a rise of 40.17% compared to the same term in 2021 (about 1,947 enterprises)
Still suffering from the pandemic and partly from the world chaos, businesses in several industrial sectors, however, have to announced temporary closure rising 28.16% in comparison to the same period, approximately 2,904 enterprises.
From the beginning of the year to date, Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment has completely performed dissolution procedures for 494 enterprises, branches and representative offices declining 8.35% compared to the same period of 2021 and concurrently carried out confiscation of 49 enterprise registration certificates.
The whole provincial area is home to 35,666 currently-operating enterprises, branches and representative offices with total registered capital amounted to 237,568.4 billion VND
With regard to capital call, Department of Planning and Investment said that until 30/8/2022, the city has attracted 108.5 million USD of foreign direct investment (FDI). Thirty newly-registered projects are approved with total registered capital of 67.8 million USD, raising 45.46% against the same period last year. Particularly, there are 27 projects outside industrial zone and 3 inside industrial zone attracted FDI
Positive signs in FDI attracting during the first eight months of 2022 are marked by large-scale projects including Da Nang Intex Industries with USD 5 million of investment capital; and the project of micro-electro-mechanical factory (Mems) with total investment capital of USD 60 million.
