Dong Nai – Capital of Vietnam’s Industrial Park

Dong Nai is a province located in the Southeast region. It is one of the industrialization centers of the country. Over the years, Dong Nai has always affirmed its position in industry and trade. And it aims to become the center of high-tech industry, service, and business at the nationally and internationally. Moreover, Dong Nai has 32 industrial parks with a total area of over 10.2 thousand hectares. Up to now, FDI enterprises have rented over 5.3 thousand hectares.

Strategic geographical location:

As a gateway to the Southeast economic region, Dong Nai is located in a prime locationfavorable position. The advantages include:

– It is 30 km from Ho Chi Minh City, passing by National Highway 1A.

– Many large seaports such as Dong Nai port, Go Dau A, Go Dau B.

– International airport: Currently, Dong Nai province’s government invests in a 5000-hectare Long Thanh airport to develop the aviation industry and transship international goods more efficiently.

High capital disbursement rate

Dong Nai currently has 31 industrial zones in operation. Industrial zones are concentrated in Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, Trang Bom, and Bien Hoa city districts. Vietnamese enterprises, when granted investment certificates by the provincial People’s Committee, deploy projects quiterelatively quickly. There have been 441 projects in operation with registered capital of nearly 54.5 trillion VND. Accordingly, the disbursement rate of projects with domestic investment capital in the province’s industrial zones reached almost 81%, much higher than the national average. At the same time, the disbursed capital is also about 3% higher than that of FDI enterprises in industrial zones.

Highlights of Long Thanh Airport

Long Thanh Airport is under constructionbeing started and is expected to be completed in 2025. It will serve 100 million passengers and more than 5 million tons of cargo per year when in operation. With Long Thanh and Dong Nai airports, more and more breakthroughs are expected, especially towards the “golden triangle” area of Bien Hoa – Long Thanh – Nhon Trach.

Abundant local human resources

The number of working-age people accounts for over 54% of the population and can absorb and adapt quickly to technology transfer and the modern working environment in industrial zones. Besides, Dong Nai also pays great attention to human resource training. The evidence is that the province has established 4 universities, 8 colleges, 16 professional secondary schools, and 73 vocational training institutions.

In the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, Dong Nai will develop high-quality industrial and industries parks and, clusters. At the same time, attaching the development of trade, service and logistics fields to Long Thanh international airport is also a key task.
