According to Mekong Delta Master Plan for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, transport infrastructure system of Mekong Delta will achieve significant breakthroughs. In addition, Xa No Canal, Quan Lo – Phung Hiep Canal, Cai Tu River, etc., are located on Ho Chi Minh City – Ca Mau national waterway transport route, connecting Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, Hau Giang has a fairly complete road traffic infrastructure system through National Highway 1, 61, 61B, 61C, the route of northern Hau river and Quan Lo – Phung Hiep route. The above advantages of roads and waterways have created favorable conditions for transportation of goods and attracted investment in industrial parks and economic zones of Mekong Delta in general and Hau Giang in particular.

Hau Giang currently has two industrial zones (IZ) and four industrial clusters (IC), with a total area of ​​1,269 hectares. In which, Song Hau IZ has an area of ​​290 hectares and Tan Phu Thanh IZ of 202 hectares with the occupancy rate of 80% and that of remaining ICs is 60%. Such IZs are located conveniently to connect with inter-provincial routes such as 927C, 931, 930, 930B, 927 etc., and to National Highway 1A.

According to data from Department of Planning and Investment of Hau Giang province, up to now, the province has 405 investment projects with a total investment of more than VND 135,400 billion. There are 34 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, with a total registered capital of 688.7 million USD.
