How industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City fight pandemics
Enterprises in industrial parks and export processing zones in Ho Chi Minh City are embarking on an arduous fight against the epidemic so that production and business are not interrupted.
The number of cases continuously increased in the provinces because the area is adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City. There are many factories and industrial parks with many workers who exchange and travel with epidemic areas.

After only one and a half months since the first COVID-19 case for the fourth time, Ho Chi Minh City has become the leading locality in the country in the number of people infected with Covid-19, with 6,034 points. Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son, Head of the Special Standing Department of the Ministry of Health on support for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in Ho Chi Minh City, assessed that the epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City is still complicated. The number of cases increased rapidly. The epidemic has spread to many neighboring localities and some provinces with a close relationship with Ho Chi Minh City, with two-way trade also posing a potential risk of disease from both localities.
To realize the dual goals of both disease prevention and control and socio-economic development, and localities need to be proactive, flexible, and based on the actual situation to lead, operating flexibly, in the right direction, combining harmoniously, reasonably and effectively with anti-epidemic solutions and socio-economic development. Continue to grasp the spirit of “fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy”, maintaining the implementation of the “5K” + vaccine message and increasing the application of technology; proactively review the epidemic prevention and control scenario when there are many cases and the epidemic spreads on a large scale.
Enterprises, production, and business establishments take the initiative in formulating and implementing epidemic prevention and control plans at their units, regularly inspect and ensure safety in production and business organizations, without disrupting the operation of industrial parks.
Localities, the core of the health force, need to carefully prepare human resources and facilities to deploy the Covid-19 vaccine campaign in 2021 – 2022. This is the largest-scale campaign. With about 19 thousand injection points in the country, about 150 million injections were performed in the history of vaccination.
Representatives of some other companies operating in industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City also assessed: If there is no effective and timely response solution, the damage will be significant, even closing the entire factory. Therefore, they have applied many options. For example, workers are given N95 masks instead of disposable medical masks, eat at the line, do not gather at the cafeteria, or go to other areas where they work.(Source: vneconomy)
