Quang Nam asks to speed up progress of IP projects
Quang Nam province has requested to boost the investment progress of industrial park projects; promote and attract secondary investors.
Office of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province has announced the Provincial Vice President’s conclusion, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, over the status of local infrastructure investment and business activities of industrial park projects.
In this conclusion, he has assigned Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks to strengthen the management and inspection of industrial park investors, urging the completion of investment documents and procedures regarding construction, environment, and land… in the shortest time and stepping up the progress of project construction investment according to the approved schedule.
In addition to promptly solving problems and creating favorable conditions for enterprises to invest and develop in accordance with the law, it is required to coordinate with relevant units for compensation and ground clearance for each project, ensuring the premises and land handover to investors as committed.
Quang Nam province needs to focus on completing the work of compensation and site clearance for each major and key project such as the investment in construction and infrastructure business of Thaco Chu Lai Industrial Park.
It is necessary to review behind-schedule or ineffective investment registration projects, take immediate measures to support, handle, revoke, or terminate operation of investment projects in accordance with regulations.
Notably, Mr. Ho Quang Buu has directed the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks to coordinate with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to advise the Provincial People’s Committee and propose the Government to consider adding land use quotas for industrial parks of the province as prescribed in Decision No. 326/QD-TTg dated March 9, 2022 of the Prime Minister.
The province has requested investors of industrial park infrastructure business to concentrate on boosting the progress of compensation and site clearance for remaining areas of the industrial park. Moreover, if being able to satisfy, the investment and construction of the project will be quickly implemented; step up promotion and attract secondary investors in industrial parks with advanced technology, high land use efficiency without impact on the environment…
Currently, Quang Nam province has 14 industrial parks with a total area of about 3,677 hectares. Particularly, ten industrial parks have been on pilot operation and five are under construction. Total registered investment capital has exceeded VND 8,925 billion and actual capital has amounted to VND3,600 billion. Up to now, industrial parks in the province have attracted 225 secondary investment projects, including 151 domestic investment projects and 74 FDI projects, with a total registered investment capital of nearly 78,446 billion VND.
