Sa Dec: Focus on exploiting available advantages, restoring each economic development goal

Once a hot spot for Covid-19 in the province, Sa Dec city has controlled the epidemic, especially in the last seven days, there have been no F0 cases in the community. Moreover, the vaccination rate against Covid-19 reached high. This is an essential premise for the city to confidently deploy solutions for production recovery and socio-economic development in the coming time.

Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province, needs to exploit available advantages to restore each goal. Specifically, focusing on solutions to support businesses to restore operations after the COVID-19 epidemic; interested in activating and timely supporting public investment and investment projects in the area; interested in implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, the One Commune One Product OCOP Program.

Through the first nine months of 2021, although in the context of socio-economic development and Covid-19 prevention and control, the city has achieved and exceeded 33/44 targets as planned. Total state budget revenue in the area was more than 478 billion VND, reaching 91.7% of the plan; total budget expenditure is more than 495 billion dongs, reaching 62.5% of the project. Disbursement of investment capital up to September 30 was 188.3 billion VND, reaching 66.54% of the assigned plan.

The city continues to review and implement the plans soon to complete the subdivision planning by the approved general plan. Since the beginning of the year, the city has had 02 projects approved for investment by the province.

Regarding vaccination against Covid-19, the city currently has 50,458 people who have injected the 1st dose, 6,756 people who have received the 2nd dose, over 42,000 people who have not been vaccinated. The city continues to request the province to have a mechanism for allocating vaccines fully and timely to serve the reproduction of labor and economic recovery.

In addition to expressing his excitement with the above results, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked the city to continue to implement safe, flexible, and effective adaptation measures to effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic in the area to restore the health of the city socio-economic recovery and development, considering epidemic prevention and control as a critical task.

The city needs to focus on exploiting the available advantages to restore each goal. Specifically, focusing on solutions to support businesses to restore operations after the Covid-19 epidemic; interested in activating and timely supporting public investment and investment projects in the area; interested in the implementation of the National Target Program on building a new countryside, the One Commune One Product OCOP Program – directed by Mr. Pham Thien Nghia.

Affirming the vaccine strategy – the key to disease control and economic recovery, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia suggested that the city sticks to this point of view, gradually restoring tourism activities in stages; reopening markets; bring into play the advantages of traditional craft villages; finance – banking sector; social security, etc.

In addition, the locality needs to innovate the way of leadership and administration to perform tasks; focus on improving the quality of public administrative services in the direction of modernity and professionalism; strengthen inspection, proper discipline, civil servants, public servants, enhance the satisfaction of organizations and citizens with administrative services, etc.
