Thai Binh: Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Office in Korea
Thai Binh has just opened a provincial investment promotion and support office in Korea (Korea Desk Thai Binh), along with a proposal to the Korean Government for Thai Binh to participate in a project to renovate and upgrade the irrigation system in the Red River Delta oriented to an effective water management to serve the restructuring of the Agricultural sector (KEXIM2) funded by the Korean Government with ODA capital.
During 30 years of cooperation with Vietnam in general as well as Thai Binh province in particular, Korea is considered as an important leading partner in a range of sectors – the largest foreign direct investor in Vietnam.

Up to now, the province has 27 projects in operation invested by Korean with a total registered capital of 148.72 million USD. The province has also warmly welcomed nearly 100 Korean investors and experts to Thai Binh for living and working with big projects of Korean investors such as Ohsung Vina Co., Ltd., Korea SMT Company (Lien Ha Thai industrial park). … The province has remained plenty of space with advantages in land fund for industrial development, great potential to extend opportunities for cooperation with Korean investors.
Moreover, the province also has preferential mechanisms and policies, supporting the completion of administrative procedures in regard to investment quickly, effectively, and timely.
The opening of the Thai Binh Investment Promotion and Support Office in Korea has a great meaning, not only establishing an external information system between Korean investors, businesses, and provincial agencies and authorities, but also playing a focal point to guide, support, and introduce locations for Korean investors to research and invest in addition to guiding investors to prepare legal documents for investment procedures and business registration in Thai Binh. At the same time, it is proposed that the Provincial People’s Committee assign relevant agencies to solve and remove difficulties, obstacles, and related problems for Korean investors and businesses, according to Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Commissioner Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
At the same time, the Office would like to express our sincere gratitude to Zenith Group for creating favorable conditions for Thai Binh to establish a Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Office in Korea, where the traditional culture and values of the province being promoted, helping Korean investors acquire more information and attention to investment promotion in Thai Binh province. The province will also focus on developing plans and mechanisms for the Investment Promotion and Support Office in Korea to actively operate in the coming time.
For information about the potentials and advantages of the province as well as fields of cooperation with Korea, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee would like to thank the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea for continuously introducing to the Korean investors, so that they have come to learn, invest and cooperate with Thai Binh province; and their constantly supporting the province in attracting Korean investors, implementing the cooperation agreement, receiving temporary workers in Korea between Thai Binh province and Yeongju city government, Gyeongsangbuk Province. In addition, it is proposed that Thai Binh province participates in the project of renovating and upgrading the irrigation system in the Red River Delta towards effective water management to serve the restructuring of the Agricultural sector (KEXIM2) funded by Korean government with ODA capital.
