Vietnam recognizes vaccine passports of 72 countries and territories
Vietnam recognizes vaccine passports of 72 countries and territories and talks with nearly 80 other partners about this issue.

“In the spirit of Resolution 128 of the government, Vietnam temporarily recognizes the form of vaccination certificates, also known as vaccine passports, of 72 countries and territories introduced by representatives of the parties to the Ministry of Health. Diplomacy,” spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said at a regular press conference this afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement was made by Ms. Hang when answering a question about policies and measures to create favorable conditions for people from abroad who had two vaccinations before coming to Vietnam.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is concurrently conversing with nearly 80 partners on the recognition of each other’s vaccine passports. Vietnam’s vaccination certificates have also been recognized by some countries and can be used to enter those countries” Ms. Hang added.
Many countries have applied vaccine passports to open up their economies and bring economic and social activities back to normal.
Van Don Airport in September welcomed a series of flights to pilot the vaccine passport policy, bringing back hundreds of Vietnamese from the US, France, and Japan. Passengers on entry were all vaccinated with a full dose of Covid-19 vaccine, in good health, had negative PCR test results in 72 hours, and took safety measures. After entry, vaccine passport holders are still required to undergo complete medical isolation for seven days.
